Treatment for opiates at NewBridge focuses on ensuring a safe and comfortable detox for each client. Many of our clients have anxiety concerning coming off of opiates and dread the withdrawal process. However through medication and a slow tampering process, we grantee a pain-free and safe opiate detox. Once a client has detoxed from opiates, we can begin crafting and implementing a treatment plan to ensure continued abstinence from opiates.
Physical Freedom From Opioids
Opiate addiction presents a unique challenge, since it is widely thought of as the most psychically addictive drug. Since opiates alter the way the brain reacts to its own chemicals, natural endorphin production is slowed or even stopped. Rebuilding and replenishing the brains natural endorphin’s and receptors can take months. NewBridge realizes this, and one of our primary goals of our opiate treatment is to give our clients physical freedom from addiction.
Medication-Assisted Treatment for opioid dependence is determined by our medical director and can include the use of buprenorphine (Suboxone) to complement the education, counseling and other support measures that focus on the behavioral aspects of opioid addiction. This medication can allow the patient to regain a normal state of mind – free of withdrawal, cravings and the drug-induced highs and lows of addiction.
